Foothill Gold members run well at
Cross Country Junior Olympics 2013
Summer 2012 two local kids went to an AAU track and field meet in Tulare and noticed there were mostly Track & Field teams or clubs competing. Working with kids in Tuolumne County and coaching track at Curtis Creek, we realized we have a lot of kids who would like to run and compete at a different level against other area kids. We also don’t have very many cross country and track meets in Tuolumne or Calaveras Counties to formulate year-around interest. So Foothill Gold was born. Our coach, Darren Holman and assistant Paul McIlroy have joined efforts to make this a successful running club. At this time we have not ventured into field events.
If your son or daughter is interested in running cross country or track to:
- Try a new “very healthy” sport,
- Do something different just because they really like running, jumping, throwing, etc. or
- Compete at a high level and prepare for junior high, high school, or college competition.
Come join the run and train with a great Coach Darren Holman.
